The Band is a self-supporting non-profit making registered charity. With a busy performance schedule, the Band currently supports itself through concert fees, collections and grants. However there are of course ongoing financial demands - such as rehearsal room fees, instruments, instrument maintenance, uniforms, insurance and travel.
The Band was fortunate in obtaining lottery support in 2000, which helped to replaced ageing instruments with a brand new set. The Band has also been successful in obtaining a grant from the Flintshire Local Voluntary Council for the purchase of new uniforms and more recently a grant from Communities First for the purchase of new music stands.
Looking to the future the Band has a range of sponsorship opportunities available to interested parties. Support can take the form of direct equipment purchase, which can be branded, through to music purchase, event support, coach hire - and more.
In return for support, the Band commits to work with the sponsor to promote their sponsorship, with the additional opportunity of more direct musical links and activities.
So what do you do now? The first step is to contact us or come and see us in action, and discuss things over - all support is welcomed.
Sponsorship is a great way of supporting the Band; and is by no means one way. You and your company will also gain from working together with the Band.
In turn the Band fosters community links; through training young players(instruments, tuition etc), a busy performance schedule (Theatre Clwyd, Denbigh and Flint Show, Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza, Chester Groves to name but a few), civic events (Lord Mayor's Charity Concert, Remembrance Sunday), supporting charity events; North West Cancer Research, Child Line Wales.
